HYPERDRIVE DESIGN concept realises efficiency under load that goes far beyond the conventional baitcast reel framework. DAIWA, which uses its experience of innovation, sets the next standard for the future. Strong and smooth lasting rotation is the function required for a top class baitcasting reel. HYPERDRIVE DESIGN produces a powerful unit that continuously sends energy from the drive gear to the pinion gear. A robust body that suppresses force to the internals from the outside and realises a stable and quiet driving force. Each functional mechanism works together seamlessly under any condition.

ULTIMATE CASTING DESIGN

Perfecting casting performance.

ULTIMATE CASTING DESIGN, bringing the perfect cast into reality. To realise the ultimate casting design, it was necessary to align four key elements, and take each of those to the limit. The four pillars of ULTIMATE CASTING DESIGN are Daiwa's famous MAGFORCE + Variable Inductor, TWS T-Wing System, Zero Adjust & G1 Dualumin spool. When all four of these are harmonised, the imagination of perfect casting performance is realised.

TWS

Free line movement. Increased casting distance.

Daiwa's revolutionary TWS (T-Wing System) addresses the issue of traditional line guide/level wind systems constricting line flow by delivering a T-shaped line guide that is larger, wider and less restrictive. TWS allows line to exit freely from the spool with minimal line angle, minimal friction and constriction, thereby reducing line noise and backlash, and delivering more accurate and longer casts.

MAGSEALED BALL BEARING

Ultimate protection. Increased longevity.

MAGSEALED protection is no longer just for the main shaft and rotor of a reel with MAGSEALED Ball Bearings providing ultimate protection for the most at risk locations such as the engine sideplate and line roller. MAGSEALED Ball Bearings use the same magnetic oil to shield internals from water and grit penetrating into the bearing.

SV CONCEPT

Super Versatile Spool. Easy casting with all lure sizes.

The SV CONCEPT spool was designed to prevent backlashing and promote easy casting whether it is a lightweight lure or heavier big bait lure. The SV Spool is composed of G1- Duralumin material with a diameter of 34mm for a much faster rotation and greater strength. SV CONCEPT with its lightweight spool and high precision design improves spool rotation and braking.

DIGIGEAR II / HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

Digitally engineered gear for ultimate precision and power.

Daiwa's generation of digitally engineered gear design ensures a perfect mesh between an ultra-tough drive gear and pinion gear for optimized speed, power, durability and smoothness. HYPERDRIVE Digigear is the next evolution of baitcast gear design, taking Daiwa's Digigear concept and delivering a smoother and stronger reeling sensation with a significant 60% improvement to gear durability.

BOOST SYSTEM

Two stage cast control. Precise braking.

BOOST is a brand-new two-braking system which significantly increases casting distance in the latter part of the casting sequence. The two stage design delivers the precise amount of braking resistance at each stage of the cast.

HLC CONCEPT

Hyper Long Cast. Tuned cast performance.

Daiwa's Hyper Long Cast super-tuned cast control system has been designed for optimum casting performance with the spool rotor modified to minimise rotor braking to maximise spool rotation and casting distance of heavier lures and baits.

CT CONCEPT

Compact Tough baitcast concept.

COMPACT TOUGH-CT compact body has been achieved by equipping a new 30/32mm diameter CT SV spool. The CT SV spool which has very low start-up inertia has realised a feel in the cast that surpasses reels of the past, covering the range of finesse (BFS) applications as well as versatile use with a range of baits.

Daiwa's ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia resulting in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.

UTD

Ultra smooth low drag inertia with ultimate fish stopping power. UTD combines advanced carbon washers, alloy and stainless steel drag plates with specially designed grease for ultra-smooth performance.

MAGFORCE V / Z

Easy cast brake adjustment.

Magforce combines the best aspects of modern magnetic and centrifugal braking. Reels are easily tuned to cast a large range of weights with ease simply by adjusting the Magforce dial on the side of the reel.

JOG POWER LEVER

Instant power. One hand operation.

One hand operation, the JOG Power Lever allows for instant, variable speed, and power adjustment without having to take your hand off the rod. Left hand thumb lever and a right hand lever are available depending on the model of reel. This feature is perfect when you are using your rod and reel handheld instead of in the rod holder.

REMOTE JOG

Power at your fingertips. Ultimate versatility

REMOTE JOG (RJ). REMOTE JOG gives the angler the ability to see the line information and control the reel via a bluetooth connected remote control. REMOTE JOG is easy to set up and opens up a world of new possibilities for both boat captains and anglers. Whether you're retrieving teasers remotely from the comfort of the tower whilst gamefishing or simply wanting to sit in the captains chair to keep a close eye on the sounder whilst waiting for the bite, REMOTE JOG is a game-changer.

MAGMAX MOTOR

High torque in small reels.

Daiwa's MAG MAX Motor is a new breed of motor, revolutionising smaller electric reel development. The only way to increase the power of an electric motor is to increase the number of coil turns thus increasing the size, increasing the supply voltage or increasing the magnetic force. Daiwa engineers turned to rare earth neodymium magnets to increase the magnetic force and the power of MAG MAX Motors.

MEGATWIN / MEGATWIN PRO

Mega Power and Mega Speed. Two speed function.

A two-gear system allows the user to switch between MEGA POWER mode and MEGA SPEED mode by simply touching a button. This gives anglers greater control to get baits up quick with speed mode and the ability to switch to power mode for fighting big fish. ANODE PROTECT

Saltwater Protection. Sacrificial Anode.

An industry first for fishing reels Daiwa's Anode Protect system installs a replaceable sacrificial zinc anode inside the reel body to further protect key internal parts from the corrosive effects of heavy saltwater use. Anode Protect is continually working to mitigate corrosion and should be replaced after prolonged use. It is simple to replace and can be done easily by yourself.
