With 16 bricks and mortar stores, a long-established trade business and a growing ecommerce platform and team, we are centred at the heart of Kiwis’ love of the sea and outdoors. Based in Mount Wellington, this is an excellent opportunity to take your next step in ecommerce and manage an expanding team whilst working alongside committed and supportive senior management.

 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of IT & Operations, the Ecommerce Manager will pursue a high growth ecommerce strategy to support the Company’s ambitious vision. While building online sales is a key objective, equally important is the goal of optimising the end-to-end journey of the online customer, including customer service (regardless of channel) and fulfilment.

You'll be responsible for the Webstore operation, monitoring website performance and reporting on metrics and performance data in line with agreed goals. Ensuring Webstore content is displayed accurately, promptly and attractively is an integral component to achieving wider goals.  The Marketing, Design and Product (buying) teams in house will work closely to provide content.

You'll also manage relationships with external agencies to maintain and develop the ecommerce platform and (alongside the Marketing Manager) identify and deliver suitable, well-costed and creative digital marketing campaigns and budgets, while also implementing SEO and SEM strategies.

 

About You:

You’ll have an impressive track record in ecommerce with a solid understanding of web operations and have no qualms about rolling your sleeves up to sort out problems and experience of managing staff.

With sound business acumen, an analytical mindset and a keen understanding of ROI, you’ll have a track record of managing budgets and successful sales growth.  You’ll be excited to develop the ecommerce strategy and appreciate your direct report to senior management.  No layers of bureaucracy here.  Good ideas are executed fast.
