Yes this is a great option for Kayak and small boat fishing. For a kayak you will likely need a 12V power source (eg battery code 32510)

This unit has just a single cable input with a 6 pin plug, with the dual cables from the plug providing power and transducer functionality. This unit comes with a Bulletshot 200kHz transducer.
