Description

The next generation of power storage is here! These LiFePO4 batteries may look fairly similar to lead acid batteries, but internally they’re a totally different, next generation concept.
They’re actually made up of regular pouch LiFePO4 cells, which are in mass production for many portable devices. An internal battery management system (BMS) ensures all cells are uniformly charged and discharged, as well as providing short circuit, over current, and reverse polarity protection. This provides you with a higher degree of protection than a traditional lead acid battery which is unprotected, and can discharge rapidly under short circuit conditions, causing fire and damage. The internal BMS will also limit discharge and manage cut-off voltage, to further protect the internal cells.
This 50Ah model can provide continuous current up to 50A, with peaks of up to 100A. This is great for general purpose deep cycle battery and can run light inverter loads. If you are running a large inverter you will need to step up to a Lithium battery that has a higher continuous current like the Sterling Amps range (PLU m40846) that can pump out 150A continuous.
  • Twice the usable capacity of a similar lead acid or AGM
  • Much lighter than lead acid batteries
  • Built-in Battery Management System (BMS)
  • Max charge voltage 14.6V
  • Recommended recharging voltage 14.6V
  • Maximum recharging Amps: Up to 20A Max
  • Nominal voltage 12.8V
  • Max continuous discharge rate : 50A. 100A for 5 seconds
  • Terminals: M5 bolts
  • Cycle Life:1500+ cycles (greater than 80% capacity retention)
  • Service life: 10 years +
  • Cut off voltage 9.2V
  • Charge Temperature: 0-45°C. Due to it's chemistry LIFEPO4 is not generally able to be charged at below zero degrees. When installed in cold locations it is recommended to have them in an insulated area that will not drop below zero when being charged.
  • Discharge Temperature: -10°C - 55°C
  • Storage Temperature: -10°C - 40°C (15-25°C recommended)
  • Must use correct battery chargers with Lithium profiles. Victron range is our go to 240V chargers. Victron and Renogy for DC-DC chargers and MPPT Regulators. Can't be connected straight to an alternator. Ask one of our experience team for advice to make sure your setup will be covered under warranty
  • Dimensions: 210(h) x 256(w) x 168(d)mm
  • Weight: 7.1kg
  • 3 Year warranty
  • Conforms with the EN62619 standard allowing it to be installed by customers to AS/NZ3001 standard (certificate available on request)
  • Not suitable for boats connected to shore power and needing an Electrical Warrant of Fitness (EWOF) as the AUS/NZS 3004.2:2004 standard need the battery to be able to disconnect from all charging sources.
