Description
The new evolution of sail winches are now here, and Ronstan Orbit Winches are leading the way. Due its machined aluminium drum and aluminium centre stem these are one of the lightest winches in its class weighing in at only 1.7kg. Ronstans' trademarked Power Rib technology offers a multitude of benefits: requiring fewer wraps around the drum, reducing the load held in the self tailer, and encouraging the line to slide easily upward on the drum to avoid riding turns. The non-abrasive drum surface extends the service life of running rigging and allows for smooth and controlled easing, even under high loads. Using the ever reliable and proven Anderson winch gearing configuration, this 20ST model also has sprung self-tailing jaws which will accept line from 6-10mm.
