National Sponsorship

Burnsco's main support is to Melanoma New Zeland, Coastguard and LegaSea. These 3 organisations are very different, but all share a passion for the ocean and the great outdoors, and keeping them safe for future generations.

MELANOMA NEW ZEALAND

Burnsco is proud to be partnered with Melanoma New Zealand to support their cause and help raise awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention of melanoma among our customers who spend so much time outdoors.

The majority of skin cancers are preventable by protecting your skin from the sun, and checking your skin regularly, and melanoma can be curable if caught and treated early. Find out more here.

LEGASEA

Burnsco is a Platinum sponsor of LegaSea, and we have long supported LegaSea's mission.

LegaSea is a committed group of Kiwis working together to restore our coastal fisheries.

LegaSea is a not-for-profit organisation. It is a subsidiary of the New Zealand Sport Fishing Council, which advocates and funds various projects to support recreational fishing and ecosystem-based fisheries management.

COASTGUARD

Burnsco supports New Zealand Coastguard with instore subscription drives and donations.

Coastguard is the primary maritime search and rescue service in New Zealand. It is a volunteer-run organisation and is based at 63 Coastguard units on our lakes and coastal waters.

Coastguard was responsible for bringing 6,700 people home safely to their families last year.

Local Sponsorship

In addition to its National sponsorship, Burnsco supports local boating clubs, yacht races, fishing competitions and RV Rallies on a regular basis. We normally support these activities by products and/or gift vouchers. If you'd like to apply for local sponsorship, please see the manager at your nearest store. It's important that you make your request realistic, rather than overly ambitious, as we do want to sponsor as many events possible. The ability to display our marketing material (wind blades, flags, posters, brochures, etc.) will also help your cause!
