COVID-19 Update


Keeping our staff and customers safe is our top priority.

We are following Government guidelines and maintaining strict health and safety protocols to protect our staff and customers. 

See how you can shop at Burnsco under different Covid-19 alert levels when above level 1:


Level 3 Steps 2 and 3 and Level 2: 

At alert level 2 and level 3 steps 2 and 3, our stores are open to customers with all products available. You can also order online, opting for contactless delivery by courier or Click-and-Collect from your chosen store.

Photo ID is always required to be shown by the person collecting an order.

You are asked to scan the QR Code and help yourself to hand sanitiser, whether entering the store or collecting orders.


Wearing a face covering is compulsory for both staff and customers (except children under 12).

Because of the risks of Covid-19 community transmission and the highly infectious Delta variant being largely transmitted through airborne particles, Burnsco policy is that everyone inside a store MUST wear a mask or face covering (except for children under 12, when it is highly recommended). If you have a medical exemption from wearing a face covering, or otherwise do not wish to wear one, then, for your safety, we cannot serve you in store. However we are keen to assist by taking your order online or over the phone (either via your local store or our Customer Services centre on 0800 10 20 41). Delivery can be made by courier or, by specific arrangement (please phone in advance to arrange), we can provide for contactless collection at the store entry with appropriate distancing.

Please don’t come shopping if you are unwell or required to self-isolate (or that applies to someone in your household). In this case, please make your purchases online or phone our friendly Customer Service or your local store for assistance, and have your order delivered to your address.


Other Level 3 stages:

At other steps of alert level 3, all items are available to order online or you can phone your chosen store (during normal opening hours). You have two options to receive your goods: either contactless delivery by courier or contactless Click-and-Collect.

Stores are closed to the public except for contactless Click-and-Collect at the store front.

Please ensure you are wearing a face covering when you come to store to collect your order. This is for your wellbeing and ours, and is legally required during level 3. If you have a medical exemption from wearing a face covering, but wish to make a collection from the store entry, please phone in advance and agree a specific time for collection when extra precautions can be taken to protect both you and our staff when handing over your purchases.

Photo ID is also required to be shown on collection.


Level 4:

At level 4, Burnsco stores are required to be closed and Click-and-Collect is not available.

However, you can still buy ‘essential goods’ by ordering them online and having them delivered contactlessly by courier. Essential goods are products you need to safely isolate at home. Things like fridges, stoves, toilets and sanitation products, heaters, generators, etc.

You can also place orders for non-essential goods. If any of our stores are located outside the level 4 area(s), they can fulfil your orders of non-essentials by courier dispatch. This may mean they take longer to reach you than normal service. If all areas are within level 4, orders for non-essential goods will be dispatched as soon as permitted.

All deliveries are made to your nominated address contactlessly by courier.
