Description

The Shimano Tiagra series has been the bench mark for game reels for targeting marlin, swordfish and tuna for years.
During battles with some of the ocean largest gamefish, drag force declines from frictional heat. The Tiagra 80W employs a thermo-sensitive hydraulic compensating drag, reversing this decrease by utilising frictional heat. Its dual-speed gear system aids anglers in gaining the upper hand on these fish, ensuring superior drag performance in intense fights.
The 80w Tiagra puts out an astonishing 24kg of ultra smooth drag, holds a massive line capacity allowing you to fish both monofilament or braid with a topshot effectively, and comes with an ergonomic power handle so you can keep cranking those fish in even after hour of use.
Featuring Hagane gearing, KGN body, a forged aluminium spool, twin disk drag system and a ratchet drag this reel is the best of the best when it comes to game fishing.
The Status Bluewater rod has a E-Glass/Graphite blank for optimal durability and maximum power. The 2 piece rod comes apart just above the reel seat, enabling you to interchange between the supplied Pacbay straight butt or change to a bent butt (sold seperately & pending availability). 37kg rated, this rod will see you right for trolling, livebaiting or dropping baits for broadbill swordfish. It has incredible low end power and tip responsiveness.
